Sunderland AFC loan Adil Aouchiche to Aberdeen.

Sunderland AFC can confirm that Adil Aouchiche has joined Aberdeen on loan.

The 22-year-old winger will spend the 2025-26 season at the Pittodrie Stadium, as the Dons look to build on a fifth-place finish in the Scottish Premiership. 

Aouchiche has made 38 appearances for Sunderland in all competitions since moving to the Stadium of Light in September 2023, contributing two goals and four assists.

Formerly of Paris Saint-Germain, AS Saint-Étienne, and FC Lorient, he spent the second part of the 2024-25 season on loan at Portsmouth, featuring on 12 occasions. 

Kristjaan Speakman said: “Adil expressed a desire to play regularly in January, and we achieved this outcome during his time on loan at Portsmouth. This move to Aberdeen will enable him to continue playing games regularly at a progressive Club, who also have a European games programme. At 22, he has signficant experience and we believe this move to be a great next step for him. We wish him well and look forward to supporting him throughout the upcoming season.”
