Bournemouth have agreed a deal to sign highly-rated 18-year-old centre-back Mor Ndiaye from Senegalese side Amitié FC, as the Cherries continue to reshape their squad following the departure of Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City.

Ndiaye was identified by Bournemouth’s recruitment team after impressive performances at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Qatar last year, where he represented Senegal  and caught the eye with his strength, composure on the ball and maturity beyond his age.

With Semenyo’s exit leaving both a sporting and strategic gap at the club, Bournemouth have moved decisively in the market, reaching an agreement in principle with Amitié FC and pushing to finalise the deal quickly. The club are keen to complete the signing before interest from other Premier League teams intensifies, with Ndiaye viewed as a key part of the club’s long-term rebuilding plan.

Sources close to the negotiations suggest the teenager is seen as a high-potential investment who fits Bournemouth’s model of recruiting young talent early and developing them for the future.
