Leeds United Submit Official January Bid for Highly Rated Defender
Leeds United have stepped up their January transfer plans after submitting an official offer to sign a highly rated Blackburn Rovers defender, with confidence growing at Elland Road that a deal could be struck this month.
According to reports circulating on X, Leeds are currently leading the race for the teenager’s signature as they look to strengthen their defensive options during the winter window.

The Whites are understood to be pushing hard to get the deal over the line, viewing the player as one for both the present and the future.
The defender has been on Leeds United’s radar for some time, with the club’s recruitment team closely tracking his progress at Ewood Park. Leeds made two formal approaches for the youngster last summer, highlighting their long-standing interest. Their second bid was believed to be in the region of £2.2 million, but both offers were turned down by Blackburn, who were keen to safeguard one of their most promising academy prospects.

Despite those rejections, Leeds have not cooled their interest and have now returned with a fresh official bid as Daniel Farke looks to reinforce his squad for the second half of the season. With promotion firmly in sight, Leeds see defensive depth as a key priority.
Blackburn Rovers are yet to publicly respond to the latest offer, but Leeds remain optimistic that negotiations could progress in the coming days as the January window gathers pace.
