Celtic FC Agree Deal for Senegalese Teen Centre-Back Mor Ndiaye
Celtic FC have agreed a deal to sign highly-rated 18-year-old centre-back Mor Ndiaye from Senegalese side Amitié FC, as the Scottish champions move swiftly to secure one of Africa’s most promising young defensive talents.

Ndiaye was identified by Celtic’s recruitment team following impressive performances at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Qatar last year, where he represented Senegal  and impressed scouts with his physical presence, composure on the ball and maturity beyond his age at the back.
After extensive scouting, Celtic have now reached an agreement in principle with Amitié FC and are pushing to finalise the transfer quickly, eager to complete the deal before interest from Premier League clubs intensifies. The teenager’s rise has reportedly attracted attention from across Europe, prompting the Hoops to act decisively.

Sources close to the negotiations suggest Ndiaye is viewed as a long-term investment who fits Celtic’s strategy of identifying and developing young, high-potential players.

Once the move is completed, he is expected to join the club’s development pathway, with a clear plan in place to help him adapt to the demands of European football.
The impending signing underlines Celtic’s ambition in the transfer market and their expanding global scouting network. An official announcement is expected soon, subject to final paperwork and international clearance.
