Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed a deal to sign highly-rated 18-year-old centre-back Mor Ndiaye from Senegalese side Amitié FC, as Wolves move swiftly to secure one of Africa’s most promising young defensive prospects.

Ndiaye was identified by Wolves’ scouting network following impressive performances at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Qatar last year, where he represented Senegal  and caught the eye with his physical presence, calmness in possession and maturity beyond his age at the back.

After months of monitoring, Wolves have now reached an agreement in principle with Amitié FC and are keen to finalise the transfer as soon as possible, determined to complete the deal before interest from other Premier League clubs intensifies.
