Andoni Iraola Confirms Rayan Ready as Bournemouth Prepare for Wolves Clash
Andoni Iraola has spoken positively about new arrivals Rayan and Mandas ahead of Bournemouth’s Premier League trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers, insisting the squad is shaping up well as they look to build momentum.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, the Cherries boss revealed his long-standing admiration for Rayan, explaining that the club’s interest in the forward dates back well before Antoine Semenyo’s departure to Manchester City.
“I am happy to sign Rayan because I have kept an eye on him for a long time, even before Semenyo left for Man City,” Iraola said. “He’s a player we really like and one we believe fits our style.”
Iraola also confirmed that Rayan has wasted no time settling in, with the attacker already involved in training sessions and fully prepared for immediate action.
“Rayan has been training well and he’s ready for today’s game against Wolverhampton Wanderers,” the head coach added.
The Bournemouth manager also briefly touched on Mandas’ arrival, welcoming the added competition and depth as the season intensifies. With a tough test awaiting at Molineux, Iraola will be hoping the fresh faces can make an instant impact and help the Cherries secure a positive result on the road.
All eyes will now be on team selection as Bournemouth look to put Iraola’s words into action against Wolves. ⚽
