Ipswich Town have agreed a deal to sign highly-rated 18-year-old centre-back Mor Ndiaye from Senegalese club Amitié FC, as the Tractor Boys look to strengthen their squad with one of Africa’s most promising young defenders.
Ndiaye first caught the attention of Ipswich’s recruitment staff after impressing at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Qatar last year, where he represented Senegal . Strong, composed and tactically aware, the teenager stood out against elite youth opposition and quickly became a target for several clubs across Europe.
Following extensive scouting, Ipswich have now reached an agreement in principle with Amitié FC and are pushing to finalise the transfer swiftly. The Championship side are keen to complete the deal before interest from Premier League clubs intensifies, with Ndiaye’s reputation continuing to grow.
