Bournemouth Complete Permanent Signing of Alex Jimenez from AC Milan in €24.8m Deal

Bournemouth have officially completed the permanent signing of Spanish full-back Alex Jimenez from AC Milan after the obligation-to-buy clause in his agreement was activated as planned.
The Cherries will pay a fixed fee of €19.5 million, with an additional €5.3 million in performance-related add-ons, securing the defender on a five-and-a-half-year contract as the club continues to strengthen its squad for the future.

As part of the transfer arrangement, the fee will be shared between AC Milan and Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants holding a 50 percent sell-on clause from Jimenez’s earlier move to Italy. The agreement ensures both clubs benefit financially from the young defender’s next step in his career.

Jimenez has impressed Bournemouth’s coaching staff with his energy, technical ability, and versatility in defensive positions, making him a key target for the club’s long-term plans. His performances during his time with the team convinced the Premier League side to trigger the permanent transfer clause.

The move signals Bournemouth’s commitment to investing in young talent capable of developing into first-team regulars, with Jimenez expected to play an important role in the squad over the coming seasons.
Fans will now be eager to see the defender continue his development in the Premier League following the completion of the deal.
