Southampton midfielder Flynn Downes has revealed fresh details surrounding interest from Ipswich Town during the January 2025 transfer window, admitting he seriously considered a move away from St Mary’s following an internal bust-up earlier in the campaign.
The Saints head into one of the biggest matches in their recent history as they prepare to face Hull City at Wembley in the Championship play-off final, though the club’s remarkable rise under Tonda Eckert continues to be overshadowed by the ongoing “Spygate” controversy.
