NOTTINGHAM FOREST READY TO BACK VITOR PEREIRA WITH NEW DEAL AFTER EUROPA LEAGUE HEROICS

Nottingham Forest are reportedly preparing to reward manager Vitor Pereira with a new two-year contract following an impressive turnaround at the City Ground.

According to reports cited by  Football Insider, Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is prepared to fully back Pereira in the transfer market as the club look to build on a remarkable campaign.

Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness believes Pereira could now be given the resources needed to push Forest to the next level after stabilising the club during a turbulent season.

Pereira arrived at Forest in February on an initial 18-month contract during a chaotic campaign that had already seen the club change managers multiple times. The Portuguese coach became the fourth man to take charge this season after Marinakis dismissed Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou and Sean Dyche.

Despite the instability, Pereira quickly transformed Forest’s fortunes. He guided the club to Premier League safety while also overseeing an impressive run to the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League, restoring optimism among supporters.

Sources close to the club suggest Marinakis has been impressed not only by the results but also by Pereira’s leadership and tactical organisation during a difficult period. Discussions over a fresh contract are believed to be progressing positively.
