Ipswich Town Step Up Chase for Callum Wilson as Lloyd Kelly Also Emerges on Transfer Radar

Ipswich Town are preparing to intensify their pursuit of experienced striker Callum Wilson, while also weighing up a move for Juventus defender Lloyd Kelly, according to reports from EADT.

The Tractor Boys are determined to strengthen their squad with proven Premier League quality as they continue their summer recruitment drive, and both players have now emerged as serious targets.

Wilson, who has built a reputation as one of the Premier League’s most reliable goalscorers when fit, is understood to be high on Ipswich’s shortlist. The veteran forward would bring valuable experience, leadership, and a clinical edge in front of goal—qualities that could prove vital as the Blues aim to compete at the highest level.

Meanwhile, Ipswich are also considering a move for former Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly. The versatile centre-back, who currently plays for Juventus, is admired for his ability to operate both centrally and at left-back. His top-flight experience in England makes him an attractive option as Ipswich look to bolster their defensive options.

Landing either player would represent a significant statement of intent from the Suffolk club, but securing deals for two players with extensive Premier League experience would underline the club’s ambition ahead of the new campaign.

With the transfer window gathering pace, supporters will be eagerly watching to see whether Ipswich can turn their reported interest into completed signings.

If completed, the arrivals of Callum Wilson and Lloyd Kelly would add quality, experience, and leadership to Kieran McKenna’s squad, potentially giving the Blues a major boost as preparations for the new season continue.
